Your Child’s Love Language – February Giveaway

Your Child's Love Language

It is really important to know what your child’s love language is. If you are not familiar with the five love languages, they are: physical touch, words of affirmation, acts of service, gifts, and quality time.

I read a book last summer called The Five Love Languages of Children by Dr. Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell. It truly opened my eyes to what our son or any child needs.

We discovered this quiz online to help you find out what your child’s love language is. You can pick which quiz to take with your child according to their age (5-8 or 9-12). We asked our son the questions while he was doing an activity, and his answers surprised us. It is great to know what his top love languages are, so we make sure he feels loved in the way he needs it. I highly recommend taking this quiz with each of your children. You will get the results at the end of the quiz with the percentage they scored in each love language.

I truly recommend reading the book, so you can read more thoroughly about how to meet your child’s needs in each area. This book goes into detail on each love language and what it may look like for your child. Although your child may score low in one love language, but higher in another, they still need to have all five love languages met each day to feel loved. A great example of this could be that your child really enjoys words of affirmation. You can encourage them and build them up verbally every day, but they still need a hug or even just a pat on the back to also have physical touch met. Even though physical touch may be at the bottom of the list, they still need that even if it is something small.

As a thank you to our subscribers, we are giving away one FREE paperback copy of The Five Love Languages of Children book! To enter, please subscribe to Redeemed on Purpose below:

  1. I enjoyed reading your post. My little ones are yet to have the skills required for taking the quiz. However, I recently noticed physical touch seems to be my first little one’s love language. That’s like a little mismatch between us..but I ll do my best. Thank you for sharing. I would like to share this post over the weekend. ❤
