6 Prayers for Your Family

Prayers for Your Family

If you are on this post 6 Prayers for Your Family, we are so proud of you for focusing on your family and bringing God into your family. We hope and pray that these points and prayers benefit your home.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Pray for unity for your family. There has been a spirit of division running rampant in our nation and our world that is very apparent.

We are more powerful for the kingdom of God when we are unified, in one accord. It is a beautiful thing when a family stands together as a unit supporting one another. Today be focused on maintaining unity in your home with your spouse and children.

Jesus, I pray and invite your Holy Spirit in my home. I cancel any attacks of the enemy against my family or any words spoken of division. No weapon formed against us will prosper. As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord. Holy Spirit, fill our home with love for each other. In Jesus’ name, amen.

2021 is a new year and you and your family may be faced with new decisions. Seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit instead of your own wisdom. There may be a choice that seems to be “good” in the natural, but perhaps it is not the path God wants you to take.

God’s ways are not our ways. If we seek His wisdom in any situation, it will be a better outcome. Isaiah 55:8-9

God I pray that you reveal your wisdom to each one of us in our home with whatever choices we have to make in 2021 and even in the years to come. I pray that we always have the minds to seek Your wisdom and Your ways above our own. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The enemy wants nothing more than to divide our homes and steal, kill, and destroy. Do not wait to be reactive in prayer. Be proactive today covering your family in prayer.

I cover my family (say the names of your family members including yourself) with your precious blood Jesus. You are our protector. I pray that you protect us as we sleep and as we go about our day. No attacks of the enemy will prosper. I ask that your Holy Spirit guide each and every one of us and that we can sense your presence throughout our days. Thank you for always being so faithful to us. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God has unconditional love for us. Jesus says come as you are. Let’s remember that today with our family members. No matter what any of our family members are facing, let’s always remember to love them more than ourselves.

God is slow to anger and abundant in love. Psalm 103:8

Lord I pray for our love as a family to be ignited even more today. I forgive ______ for _________. (Repeat as many times as necessary). I pray that you forgive me for ________. Fill our home with love and an attitude of forgiveness for one another. Please fill us with your perfect love. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Our family members often see the worst sides of us because we feel comfortable being ourselves and express ourselves. Let’s remember to have grace for each other and even give grace to ourselves.

I ask for our family to continue to have grace for each other when we make mistakes or maybe say the wrong things. I ask that you strengthen each and every one of us to not hurt each other or be angry with each other. I pray we can be slow to speak and quick to listen to one another. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Our homes should be a place to be able to feel vulnerable. Children should feel able to approach their parents for help or if they have done something wrong. Spouses should be able to communicate and share feelings and thoughts without feeling attacked.

If you are a spouse reading this… read this very carefully… your spouse is not your enemy.

If you are a child reading this… read this very carefully… your parents are not your enemy.

We are a family unit and should ensure our home is a safe place for each and every family member to be able to approach one another in good, and in vulnerable moments.

I pray right now and I ask that you help make my home feel like a safe place for every family member (say your family members’ names). I pray that each and every one of us will come to you when times are hard and times are great and that we can share with one another anything that we are going through. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We hope that these 6 prayers and points help your family. It is our hope that our resources help impact your family to be unified together and get closer to Jesus. We love you all! Please leave us a comment below.
